Squeezing every ounce of sunshine

Took out the bike again since the roads are remaining pretty dry and had a chance to ride off into the sunset last night. I have to say it was the most refreshing ride yet this year. I was on River drive and had to stop and take the picture but just missed the bright orange sky as the sun dipped behind the clouds.

Pretty soon the beach will not be so desolate here at Pewaukee Lake.

The ride back was a bit bone chilling as I headed into the wind until I hit the Brookfield area and then it seemed the temps were a bit warmer. My core was really warm but it was the darn fingers that get a bit nippy. Someone should come up with finger tip warmers.

Rad photos Christine. The extended amount of sun has lured me out after work this week too...the rides home after I'm already sweaty have made me so cold I shake sometimes...fingers are fine though. Go figure.

Yeah you're right, it was a bone chilling cold, I went for a ride too that night, and when I got home I couldn't feel my feet for an hour.

I'm looking to ride with other girls, maybe we could do some rides together as you rode right by my house if you were out on River road in Brookfield doing the Pewaukee ride.

Candy...don't I count as "other girls"? I change flats...stop at the pharma for scripts...renew alternators...build indoor pitching mounds...free high voltage wires from trees w/leaning tendencies...conquer killer vines in high places & low places...relieve youthful damages, oh I forgot to mention I do the laundry.

I would love to ride with the girls! I will most likely be out that way on Sunday for another ride.

morning or afternoon? I have a commitment from about 12:30 to 2:30. Otherwise the day is free. If this weekend doesn't work, I'm sure there will be plenty of other "girl" rides. I'm sorry to have missed them last year, but hope to join in this year.
