Erich and his wife Sue sponsored a FAIR WISCONSIN PARTY Thursday night. E served up some good fire roasted pizza, with his secret recipe he learned on the streets of New York City. While we enjoyed ourselves with some good tap Stein and yummy pizza, we discussed the importance of why the Constitutional Amendment is a whole lot more than gay marriage...
The second sentence of the amendment would hurt loving and committed gay and straight families by outlawing civil unions and by denying domestic partnership benefits and other critical legal protections that help families take care of one another.
This Amendment affects ALL unmarried couples.
Loving couples who have shared their lives together for 10,20 or 30 years would be denied the right to share health insurance and retirement benefits. Thousands of Wisconsinites could be denied the right to visit their loved one in the emergency room and to make important life or death medical decisions.
VOTE NO on the Constitutional Amendment this November 7th.
