2009 uniforms are in

Greg is fashioning the new bull on the sleeve. I thought it should of gone on the back of the jersey and ten times the size. The skin suits are even better. Check out it out on Gregs blog.

Blustery Spring Day

After waiting impatiently at work to get outside and enjoy the first real spring day here in Milwaukee, I hit the pavement heading North. Mission to crank out Watts above my threshold today and keep it there. I had a great ride but the warm south, south west winds were pushing me snack in the face. 23 MPH winds with gusts of 35 MPH had me crawling back home. That made for some skewed data and a half ass ride. It was absolutely beautiful riding by the lake yesterday and I love every moment of it. You never know if you will be here tomorrow so you might as well enjoy it while you can.

Happy Spring

Spent some needed time in the saddle on Sunday out at the beautiful Kettle Moraine Trails. New sections added to the blue make riding even more fun and challenging. Garmin said we did about 5000 ft of climbing. It had to be the multiple laps on the White loop, it's killer.

I've got the fever

Funny thing happened yesterday. After searching all day for for someone to lend me thier 29er, I ran into Cup Cake later in the day on the Tosa Trails. Guess what, he had the the perfect sized Gary Fisher 29er. It was like the angel from heaven appeared. So I took the opportunity to ask him if I could take it for a spin. All equipped with the comforts of home, TIME pedals, and nice bar handles to rest my weary hands on. I took it out for a spin and was impressed with the stiffness with each pedal stroke. I really like the fact that it can just crush about anything and corner like a dream. Top it off, the bike was a perfect fit. Thanks again Rick!

don't f around

Regina and I were headed out on a mission Saturday morning. The goal for the day was to avoid the trainer for Sunday with anticipation of the big SNOW storm on the way. First things before heading out was a pair of fashionable but practical set of shades. Ty had an assortment of shades to choose from and I took the coolest, RUDY Project. I asked him where the heck he got these and he said he won them at the WORS banquet last year. Hmm, I think they are mine now :-)

Regina was styling these Seferis SKI looking glasses. They look like something Elton John wore back in the day.

We headed West and stumbled on this urban art show.

A few steps closer and it appeared someone wrote a message. That hit the nail on the head for the days ride. 70 plus miles at an intensity factor of about 8 and to think we never bonked. Top that off with not having to face the trainer come Sunday if we get hit with the proposed snow.

Next weekend the sky is the limit!
