First, thanks to Ray and all the great peeps that made Treadfest a success yesterday. I thought it was great to see all the course Marshall's at the most dangerous sections with two way radios, that was sweet!
Race Report Here you have it, just in this order, don't I wish! I have to say the start for me yesterday was a better one. I tried to suffer like the rest of them, and believe me they suffer pretty good up in the front. Once we hit the single track on the first lap it was a Blurr and it sure was fun hitting the rock garden with all the paparazzi around flashing pictures at all of us Sport Girl Celebrities. I would stop and pose for the camera, but then I would pop off into a tree and that would not be a pretty pic for everyone to see. I am surprised that the weather held out for us and we were able to enjoy the nice DRY conditions of the tight a** single track and off camber sections. I think I held my place for a while and that makes me feel a bit better than the last race. I learned a few things from some sport racers this past race, things "I" would not do in a race, but who am I to complain. I am sure I have pissed off a few, here and there. See being in the back, you get to learn quite a bit about other racers' mountain biking skills and race techniques, it is totally a blast! Unfortunately, I would like to get better SOME DAY, so I can move up to the real stars of the elite crowd. Yes, this is my big DREAM.
Last but not least, photos from Treadfest compliments of the amateur photographer super fly. I am just learning how to use this new telephoto lens so don't give me any shit if your photo came out blurry. Besides, I stood out in the rain, you can't expect too much. Once I get good at this stuff, I will start charging you. I don't think that will ever happen, since I have no time to do anything but ride my bike:) Enjoy!
